Update post

WARNING!! I created this post a while ago (July 1) and never finished, but I am posting it so that I am not so far behind when I post again (hopefully not too far away)!

This is a post just to let you all know that we are still alive and LOVING the summer! Jerzee is growing like a weed! I can't believe that she is over 2 mths. now. Her stats have gone from:

Birth - - - - - - - -1 mth. - - - - - - 2mths.

6 lb. 15 oz. ----- 8 lb. 14 oz. ---- 11 lb. 3 oz.

19.5 in. - - - - - 21.5 in. - - - - - 23 in.

It is very sad to see her growing that fast, yet I'd be worried if she didn't. She is also a great sleeper. The first night after she was born she slept for 5 - 6 hrs. before waking to eat (I thought that it was the pain meds.) But even now she sleeps like a champ, going to bed around 10:30 (we go to bed late around here) and sleeping until 7:30 or so. Naps in the afternon aren't that great but that's ok. She is also, very much, a momma's girl, which is fine with me.

Jaeley & Noah are also growing a ton and loving their new sister. Jaeley is always finding a new word that she can read, and can run the remote as well as her dad. She doesn't watch a lot of tv, she is just a quick learner. She and Noah are always saying funny things and I forget to write them down. I am hating myself for it, but one thing that I can remember is about a month before I had Jerz, one morn. I had got in the shower and Jaeley had come in the room. In our conversation she asked "mom, why do you always get in the shower?" "Because I'm always in a hurry" "well, how old are you?" "28" "WOW that's almost to 100!!" "geez thanks" I think that in her mind she got the #s backwards and was thinking 82. There are some days that I feel 100.

Noah is going strong, learning tons, and trying to be a good helper. He is very protective of his new sister. Anyone that wants to see Jerzee, he makes sure to tell them that she is "our" baby. No one is getting away with her!

JERZEE

O.K., Yes, I know it has taken me WAY TO LONG to post Jerzee's arrival, but hey, with three busy kids, you'll need to bare with me. I have honestly tried to post something for awhile, but you all know how it goes. Anyway, here is the story:

On Tues., April 21, Clint and I had to be to the hospital at 5:30 a.m. to fill out paper work, get an IV started, get hooked to the monitor, and then wait. I am not the best person when it comes to waiting for something as exciting as getting a new little one, especially after only a few hours of sleep, nothing to eat, and dying for a drink of water! After a few visits with nurses, Dr. Oakden, and the Anestistigolist, you know the person who everyone loves when he give the med. to a woman in labor, (sorry Brady, slottered that one), it was time to go. They had me scheduled for surgery at 7:30 and at 7:25 the nurse was wheeling me down the hall to the OR. I guess they had to wheel me because I gave them such a hard time about letting me walk into the OR, I told them I would run out the door instead because I was scared. Once in the OR, things went smoothly! Surgery began at 7:37 a.m. and little Jerzee Jane Beaumont was born at 7:50. The Dr.'s were impressed with the quickness of the surgery considering this was my 3rd c-section. My first thoughts were, SHE HAS HAIR!!! and chubby cheeks. I was the happiest mother in the world! After cleaning up the babe, the nurses let Clint hold her and show her to me, then take her into the nursery for cleaning up. On the way, Jaeley and Noah had just arrived, and were in the hall waiting the arrival of their much anticipated little sister. They each got to kiss and see her then to the nursery. Little Jerzee got put on the scales, to find that she could already roll from her back to her sides, and also to find that she weighed 6 lbs., 15 oz., my biggest baby so far, and then measured to discover 2o.5 in. long. Clint stayed with the kids until I went into the recovery room. After taking awesome care of me, Dr. Oakden went to do his evaluation on the baby. As he stuck his finger into her mouth to check for a clef pallet, she began sucking his finger. He laughed and told my sister that he was going to give me a bad time for not feeding my child. When everything checked out, Jerzee was brought to me. I was the proudest mommy!! and began checking to make sure all body parts were there.

She has been a great baby! In the hospital, she would sleep for about 6 hours at a time! and now sleeps for about 4 hours before waking to eat and a diaper change. Jaeley and Noah can't get enough of her. They love kissing her, holing her and her hand, going for diapers, giving her the binky, and any other task that needs to be done to meet her needs. We are all adjusting to the new normal in our lives and loving every minute.

I am through teaching school for the year, (all but the last day and checking out), and loving every minute. I now know how all you stay-at-home mom's feel, and will be VERY jealous when I have to go back to work. I am loving the new babe and the fun spirit she brings with her! Here are a few pics. I am a terrible picture taker, but will try to post updates a little better.
BEFORE, distrubing, I know!
AFTER!!
BIG SISTER & BROTHER! (THE 3 AMIGOS!)
This is the back of her head. To some it may not seem like anything to celebrate about, but for us, this much hair is amazing. If the old wives tale holds true, it took 8 bottles of tums to get a head of hair like that!
This was today. I had to take this pic. to show how she often sleeps. I'm not sure if we are too noisy or what, but she loves her hands up by her face. Also you can see her wild hair on top and how fat her cheeks are getting! We love her tons!! In fact I think that she is a "little" spoiled. She loves to be held, rocked and have her bum patted. We still cover her fingers, her nails grow too fast and no matter how I trim them, they still seem to scratch her face.

My Order!

Ok, just a short update on the diapers.com bit. I put in my order and got it delivered to my door 2 days later! I was in shock! It sure beat a trip to Provo to buy diapers, much cheaper too. You know sometimes when you order online your order comes and it is not quite what you had in mind, well this was different. Everything was perfect! Even if you don't need diapers, check it out for any baby/child item that you are needing. Anyway that is my spill on the diaper order. Remember, use BEAU8682 and you will get $10 off your order!

DUH!!

Oh, my goodness, good thing Vic keeps me on my toes. The web site is diapers.com! Thanks VIC!

Saturday, March 28, 2009

Hey guys!

Yes, I'm still alive! I never have time to update my blog. But I found this cool website to buy diapers. It is about 50 cents per box, cheaper than SAMS club plus there is no tax, free shipping (if you order over $49, which is not hard when it comes to diapers) and they deliver right to your house in a few days!! I am always wondering when I'm going to get out of town to buy diapers, and never have enough even when I plan ahead. PLUS you can get tons of other stuff besides diapers, like wipes, baby food, bath products, strollers, clothes, etc. I have been very impressed. Anyway, I signed up and purchased diapers today (sat.), and my order will be here on Wed. If any of you decide to buy from this site, when you get to the checkout part, if you enter BEAU8682 in the REFERRAL CODE BOX, you will get $10 off your purchase. Yes, there is something in it for me, $1 off when I refer a friend who orders, but hey $1 is getting to be a lot of money now a days!! Another bonus, (if you are like me and clip coupons) is that you can send in you manufacturers coupons and get credit that way too.

Anyway, baby Beaumont will be here on April 21, so watch for my update!

Talk to ya soon!

Blogger Failure!

I know that I am on your "only check once a month" list, but I do have lots of pictures I need to get posted of fun times after Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, it was great, but I ran the camcorder and forgot all about the digital camera. So, check back soon and after end-of-quarter grades get out, I will do a LONG post with TONS of pictures!!
